Physical Education & Health
“…your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit…Therefore honor God with your body.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
"For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come." – 1 Timothy 4:8
The vision of the Physical Education Department is to make students aware all students are fearfully and wonderfully made regardless of gifting and talents. We strategically provide activities that allow the students to develop the knowledge, attitudes, skills, behaviors, and confidence to adopt and maintain physically active lifestyles. These activities will enhance the development of Christ-like character in the student through sportsmanship, integrity, and humility. Therefore, we hope the students will develop an appreciation and responsibility for their bodies.
Elementary and Middle School:
Our CCA Physical Fitness Award is a cornerstone of our PE department in Elementary and Middle School. Our students are tested in their muscular endurance, muscular strength, flexibility, agility, and cardiovascular endurance.
Foundational pieces of the Physical Education Department at the high school level are the Health and Personal Fitness classes. These classes are the basis in which our Sports Statistics, Home Ec/Dietetics and Sports Injury Management are built upon. Through these courses we are able introduce our students to the world of sport and exercise professions.
