The Language Arts are based on the truth that God is the Supreme Communicator and that by creating man in the likeness of God (Genesis 1:26), He has given us the divine attributes of being able to communicate with Him and with each other. In addition, the Bible teaches that our words are not merely sounds and thoughtless sayings. Our words have power and authority as well as the ability to encourage, heal, wound, hurt, or destroy the people to whom we are speaking. Therefore, we must honor God through the use of our tongue and pen. He will hold us accountable for our words.
