Overall: District: Broward 1A Highlights:
Josh Rich maintained a consistent time with this season and pressed forward despite the gusty winds and hot sun. Ted Shroeders finished with another personal record indicating a very promising season next year with his success rate and improvement overall this season. Edgar Torres ran the entire time with strength due to his significant water consumption throughout the day (to stay hydrated). Asa Harrison also looked strong and maintained a good pace with a smile upon hearing his name cheered. Vince Alvarez pulled his energy together to represent our team despite his busy schedule and baseball demands as well. Danielle Germaine kept a steady pace and mental strength the whole race. She was able to run through the pain and finish in time to get her nails done for homecoming. Darlene Rodick stopped for ailing back pains she has been suffering through all season, and we pray she heals for next season. Many parents came to watch and support their children, and all the players celebrated with delicious, home made banana bread after the race. (Thanks to Mrs. Rich!)
