CCA Announces Men's Varsity Soccer Coach

The Eagles Athletics Department is pleased to introduce Brian Galvin as the Head Coach for the Men’s Varsity Soccer team for the 2016-17 season. Coach Galvin has devoted much of his life to the game of soccer. He played club and high school soccer in Cincinnati, Ohio before playing collegiate soccer at the University of Nevada - Las Vegas.  He is currently an Assistant/Goalkeeper Coach for both the Men’s and Women’s teams at Barry University. From 2013 to 2016 he was an Assistant Coach for the Florida Atlantic University Men’s team while completing his Masters in Business Administration. He has also coached at Manhattan College from 2010 to 2012 and with the Columbus Crew Soccer Academy from 2007 to 2010. Brian also manages the South Florida Goalkeeping Academy, providing goalkeeper training in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Boca Raton.

With a vision of using the game of soccer as a bridge to evangelism, Coach Galvin is a great fit for CCA and the men’s soccer program. Brian has traveled to Africa three times in the past two years for soccer ministry with Ambassadors Football, running two coaching education courses for local Kenyan coaches in Nairobi and playing for the 2014 Ambassadors Professional Player Tour to the Republic of Congo. He looks to eventually go into full-time soccer ministry in order to spread the Gospel through soccer.
