“For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more."– Luke 12:48b
The role of technology at Calvary Christian Academy is to empower students to glorify God spiritually, academically, and socially by preparing them to effectively use today’s technology to communicate, analyze, and evaluate information. The responsible use of technology is a powerful representation of one’s witness in Jesus Christ. As such, a student’s use of technology must be in a manner characterized by honesty and integrity as a follower of Him. It is our desire at CCA that all of our students effectively use the powerful resources of technology to make wise decisions. We are blessed to offer a diverse selection of courses that reflect technological advancement and enhance the individual gifts of students.
Our core classes instill student responsibility for and impact in a digital world. We also offer multiple engineering, robotics, and programming classes at both the high school middle school levels. We have clubs in engineering and robotics as well as a competition robotics team. In support of our students we offer a STEM endorsement as a diploma distinction. This predisposes preferential consideration within the STEM field when applying to many colleges and universities, which illustrates superior student desire and aptitude within the highly competitive Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math fields.
