Over spring break, CCA’s Thespian Troupe 6817 competed and performed at the Florida State Thespian Festival with thousands of other theatre students from across the state. They represented our school and the Lord so well, bringing home a record-breaking number of awards!
The troupe received straight superiors, the highest possible score, on all six pieces performed, and of those six, three won the Critics’ Choice Award for being the best in their category. Ariel Feldman took first place in the “Face On” makeup challenge, and troupe president, Steven Day, brought home one of five state scholarships.
Congratulations to each and every one of these exceptional students on their hard work and accomplishments!

When you attend a fine arts production in the CCA Theatre, what’s presented on stage is a final product – the culmination of countless hours of planning, auditions, line memorization, rehearsals, set/costume design, and prayer. Audience members haven’t been a part of this process, but that’s about to change . . .
High school dancers and their parents don’t have to choose between professional dance instruction and a Christian education. They can have both. Discover how CCA’s Dance Endorsement program makes this possible for high school students and which renowned college dance programs and summer intensives they’re being accepted into.
Participating in the Fine Arts may look different for students this school year, but the show must go on! With new, innovative safeguards in place, Calvary Christian Academy’s Middle School Theatre students have been hard at work preparing a live musical for you and your family to enjoy. Mark your calendars for February 5-6 — Godspell JR is coming to CCA to share Jesus’ message of redemption, compassion, and love!
World Theatre Day and World Autism Awareness Day are only days apart from each other, and perhaps this isn’t a coincidence. We invite you to read the journey of how God used theatre in a powerful way in the life of a CCA middle school student diagnosed with autism.
