A representative from Florida Atlantic University will conduct a workshop on completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) helps determine whether someone is eligible for federal loans, grants, or work-study programs. Many colleges also require it to be on file for their own need-based or merit-based aid packages.
Parents and students should have the following information in preparation for this webinar:
An FSA ID to sign electronically, assigned to the student’s email address and one for the parent; go to FAFSA.gov to complete this process.
Social security number and driver’s license
Most recent federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other records of money earned (Note: You may be able to transfer your federal tax return information into your FAFSA using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool)
Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)
