Paying Back The Favor

Adam Bond
The Varsity Boys Lacrosse Team had unfinished business with rival West Broward High School after losing last year in a tight game. Last night, they evened the score with a convincing 18-4 victory.

Scoring was led by Super Sophomore Jon Santana, who notched a career high 6 goals and 7 assists, including two beautiful behind-the-back goals. Tyler Asbate once again added four goals, and Nate Rodriguez registered his second hat trick in as many games.

Carlos Montoya and Caleb Leger shared face off duties and dominated at the X, with Montoya winning 11 of 15 for 73%, on the way to another team-high 12 ground balls.

The defense was strong, only allowing 4 goals over the course of the game, shutting West Broward out in the first and fourth quarters.

The Eagles will host old friends Taravella High School this Friday night under the lights at Calvary Field. Come on out and support the team as they try to make it three wins in a row!
