Parent 2 Parent Partnership

We are so excited for the opportunity to partner with you in discipling and supporting our students, and prayer is a powerful way in which to do that. James 5:13 –16 encourages us to pray as often as possible, and the passage closes with these powerful words: “the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” With that in mind, we want to surround all that we do with faithful prayer. We also would like for you to play an integral part in that as you see the different opportunities open up in your daily schedule.

Here are some specific times throughout the week when you can intentionally support our students through prayer, connect with other parents, and engage in your own personal study of God’s word.

Dad’s Bible Study

Fridays at 8 a.m. in Mtg. Room 1; contact Jason Bates at

Knowing that the role of a father is not only unique, but very critical, there will be several curriculums planned for the year specifically focused on ‘Fathering.’ In addition, within these weekly bible studies, we are also looking to plan father/child events throughout the school year. Some of the ideas currently being discussed are beach/boating day, bowling tournament, field day, lip sync concert, movie night, and others.

Although we can all certainly relate to having busy schedules, we still can’t forget to focus on our children. As many advertisements say, this is a "LIMITED TIME OFFER." So let's spend this year proving to our children that they are a priority and commit to:

  • Keeping our children under control without being controlling.
  • Advancing their spiritual lives.
  • And leaving a legacy.

As always, we encourage you to bring along another CCA dad (“iron sharpens iron” Proverbs 27:17).

Moms in Prayer

Tuesdays at 7:45 a.m. in the Chapel near the North and South Banquet Hall; contact Morgan Mayo at

Moms gather in the Chapel at 8 a.m. and spend roughly an hour praying for the needs of our community and school. This is an amazing time of fellowship as well as a blessing to those who attend, providing an awesome opportunity to model what Romans 12:11-12 tells us: “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”

High School Chapel

Fridays (starting September 11) from roughly 10–11 a.m in the sitting area near the stoplight in front of the Theatre; contact Morgan Mayo at

This will be an intercessory prayer time set aside during our High School Chapels. It’s our desire to meet during this time to pray over our efforts to continuously reach the students with God’s Word. We would like to have our own “war room,” so to speak, as we seek to live out I Peter 5:8 and ask for wisdom in shepherding our high school students.
