Who should take the camp?

Beginners with no prior musical knowledge
1st year students who want to further their ability
Students who wish to play another instrument
Students who want extra help with Florida All State audition material
Advanced students who wish to get help with college auditions

$200/Week (Through May 17)
$225/Week (After May 17)

  • Students must have their own instrument (unless prior arrangements have been made with Director)

  • Have all materials (oil, reeds, pencil, etc.) each day (contact Director for assistance if necessary)

  • Band and/or solo music; notebook

  • Packed lunch, or money for cafeteria lunch ($7)

  • Most of all, a passion and desire to reflect, plan, and achieve greater confidence and trust in their Savior’s call for their life!

  • Every student must schedule at least one ½ hour lesson, one of which is included in the camp price. Any extra lessons are $30 for ½ hour, $50 for a one hour lesson. Lessons will be held before and after camp (8-10 am or 3:30-5:30pm).

Outreach Concert |  June 14

  • 10:30 AM at Covenant Village, Plantation
  • lunch at Chik-Fil-A
  • dismissal from CCFL 2:30 pm

Concert | June 15

  • 1:00-1:45 pm in CCFL Theatre

Daily Schedule

8:30-11:30 — Beginners

Band fitting/“petting zoo,” as well as SmartMusic registration on June 5; Instruments provided. Students will be using Chromebooks and/or Essential Elements Band Method for instruction.

10-10:25 — Devotion & warm up exercises

10:30-11:20 — Rehearsal 

11:20-11:55 — Sectionals

Noon to 2:30 — Experienced

Students provide own instruments (unless prior arrangement with director). 1 (minimum) private lesson provided.

12:00-12:45 — Lunch

12:50-1:30 — Master class (Conducting, Music history, Composition, Theory, Ear training, Keyboard Skills, technology)

1:35- 2:35 — Rehearsal 

2:40-3:15 — All State (Scales, etudes and sight reading)
