Uniforms

A dress code serves to eliminate undue focus on clothing and a preoccupation with outward appearance. We want to be imitators of God by focusing on the heart. To assist students in maintaining this biblical emphasis and to serve the establishment of an orderly learning environment, a dress code has been established. The dress code encourages students to show their originality and express who they are by the way they use their gifts and talents to serve the Lord and others, rather than by the way they dress. The dress code applies to students when school is in session on the school campus from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

Lunch

Students in Pre-K through 12th grade have the option to bring lunch from home or purchase at school. Lunch is available for purchase in the cafeteria or at The Hub. Students in Pre-K through 8th grade have lunch in the cafeteria, and those in 9th through 12th grade eat in The Hub, which is located in the Youth Building. Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors also have the option of eating in the The Commons and may purchase and eat lunch in The Grill.

After Care Enrichment—ACE

CCA's after-school program caters to students currently enrolled in Pre-K–8th grade. They receive an afternoon snack every day, supervised homework time, playground time, and other activities. ACE operates Monday through Friday from 3:00–5:15 PM, with carline dismissal until 5:25 PM located on the west side. For more info, contact David DelBusto.

Health

The health and safety of our students is a vital concern to the staff at Calvary Christian Academy. CCA has two nurses on duty each school day to care for our students in the event of illness or injury, ensure compliance with Broward County requirements, and co-labor with families to maintain current student health records.

Transportation

CCA offers two-way bus service with multiple pick-up and drop-off locations in Miami Lakes, Miramar, Pembroke Pines, Weston, Plantation, Coral Springs, Parkland, and Hallandale. Transportation availability, forms, and location details are available upon request.

Security

The CCA Security Team is committed to a welcoming environment for our Calvary community and guests, while making safety and security a top priority through the use of physical and technical resources and strong partnerships with local, state, and federal law enforcement entities.

Our team has a tremendous amount of law enforcement, military, and first responder experience, but we also realize that we are better when we work together.

Here is a snapshot of what we do:

  • We build trustworthy relationships by serving with excellence and with vigilance.
  • We are highly visible, especially during drop-off and pick-up times.
  • We equip and empower our staff and school teams to engage emergency situations with confidence and competence.
  • We listen and learn — networking and partnering with other school and like-minded organizations in our communities.
  • We know that with serving comes great responsibility and expectation, just as Jesus spoke in Matthew 23:11.
