Uniforms

A dress code serves to eliminate undue focus on clothing and a preoccupation with outward appearance. We want to be imitators of God by focusing on the heart. To assist students in maintaining this biblical emphasis and to serve the establishment of an orderly learning environment, a dress code has been established. The dress code encourages students to show their originality and express who they are by the way they use their gifts and talents to serve the Lord and others, rather than by the way they dress. The dress code applies to students when school is in session on the school campus from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

Lunch

Students in Pre-K through 12th grade have the option to bring lunch from home or purchase at school. Lunch is available for purchase in the cafeteria or at The Hub. Students in Pre-K through 8th grade have lunch in the cafeteria, and those in 9th through 12th grade eat in The Hub, which is located in the Youth Building. Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors also have the option of eating in the The Commons and may purchase and eat lunch in The Grill.

After Care Enrichment—ACE

CCA's after-school program caters to students currently enrolled in Pre-K–8th grade. They receive an afternoon snack every day, supervised homework time, playground time, and other activities. ACE operates Monday through Friday from 3:00–5:15 PM, with carline dismissal until 5:25 PM located on the west side. For more info, contact David DelBusto.

Health

The health and safety of our students is a vital concern to the staff at Calvary Christian Academy. CCA has two nurses on duty each school day to care for our students in the event of illness or injury, ensure compliance with Broward County requirements, and co-labor with families to maintain current student health records.

Transportation

CCA offers two-way bus service with multiple pick-up and drop-off locations in Miami Lakes, Miramar, Pembroke Pines, Weston, Plantation, Coral Springs, Parkland, and Hallandale. Transportation availability, forms, and location details are available upon request.

Security

The Security Department’s priority is to provide quality service to the school, students, staff, and guests. The department is made up of primarily former law enforcement officers and retired military personnel. Here are some examples of our security measures:
  • Two additional uniformed School Resource Officers (SRO) during peak hours: morning drop-off, lunch and afternoon pick-up.
  • High visibility campus patrol throughout the day.
  • Uniformed SRO during athletic events at home.
  • Bi-weekly meetings with local law enforcement regarding recent crime trends and information sharing.
  • Established relationship with local school security directors for strategy & information sharing.
  • Regular training with local law enforcement to receive the latest industry standards in education and tactics for security services.
  • Security application called CrisisGO.
