On Saturday, your CCA Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams competed in the FHSAA Class 2A Regional Meet in Titusville.
The girls team, consisting of Jazmine Hincapie, Johanna Velez, Samantha Kavanagh, Maya Rodriguez, Bella del Busto, Hana Garey, and Sophia Silva, all ran their best race of the season, and finished 4th out of 17 teams. They advance to participate next week at the Cross Country State Finals in Tallahassee, the first CCA girls team to make the trip to States since 2012.
The boys team consisting of Sebastian Salgado, Josh Taggart, Hunter Morgan, Jack Garey, Luke Jewett, Ty Noble, and Jack Meeske, ran their best race of the season, but to no avail as they finished 11th out of 17 teams, not advancing, but holding promise for next year as they only lose one runner to graduation.
