25 Prayers for 25 Years | Day 18 | Prayer For Current and Future Students

By: Dante Miró
In today’s devotional, CCA’s Director of Community Relations, Dante Miró, continues our 25 Prayers for 25 Years series by reminding us to pray for our current and future CCA families.

Scripture:

“We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people— the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace. You learned it from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on our behalf, and who also told us of your love in the Spirit.

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”

–Colossians 1:3-14

Reflection:

As we celebrate 25 years of God’s faithfulness at Calvary Christian Academy, we pause with grateful hearts – just as Paul did when he wrote to the Colossians. He thanked God for the faith, love, and hope that marked their community, and he prayed continually for their growth in spiritual wisdom, strength, and endurance.

We echo that same spirit of prayer today – for the students and families who currently fill our classrooms and hallways, and for the ones who will join us in the years to come. Our school is not just a place of academic learning, it’s a place where seeds of faith are planted and nurtured.

What greater gift can we offer than to pray for our community – that they may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God?

Let us pray that our students will be filled with the knowledge of God’s will, empowered by His strength, and anchored in His love. Let us lift up our families, asking the Lord to knit them together in unity and faith. And let us pray forward – asking God to prepare the hearts of those He will bring to CCA, that they too would find a Christ-centered education, lasting friendships, and eternal hope.

May our prayers shape the next 25 years, just as His grace has carried us through the last.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for every student and family You’ve brought to Calvary Christian Academy. Strengthen them today, and prepare the hearts of those You are calling here tomorrow. Amen.
