This past Friday, 13 members of the CCA Eagles Swim and Dive Team traveled up to Ocala for the Class 2A State Championship Swim and Dive Meet. All of our competitors performed well as our girls team placed 15th out of 39 total teams, and our boys team finished 13th out of 43 teams. Girls' scoring was led by senior Marley Tyner who medaled with a 5th place win in the 50 Free and a 12th place finish in the 100 Free. Christina Paschal, Isa Callaway Coy, Summer Poling, and Marley Tyner placed 9th in the Medley Relay, and Christina, Summer, Marley, and Dylan Kanell came back to medal with a 6th place win in the 200 Free Relay. Our boys team was led by junior Christian King who placed 10th in the 50 Free and 11th in the 100 Free. He also teamed up with Danial Cunha, Thiago Gomez-Liendo, and Jeremiah Paiz in the 200 Free and 400 Free Relays, medaling in both events with a 5th place win and a 7th place win. Way to go, Eagles!!!!!
