Lady Eagles defeat North Broward Prep

Isabella Forcella
Lady Eagles defeat North Broward Prep to extend their season record to 5-2.
Singles number 1 Kali Cafaro and number 2 Bella Forcella both brought strong intensity to a win 8-4 and 8-1. Bella Forcella played the match of her life playing aggressively, intentionality, and crafty. Unfortunately, our number 1 doubles were defeated 4-8. They did what they could to stay in the match, but in the end, things did not go their way. Our number 3, Sophia Quintanilla dug out a hard-fought win 8-5. She had a challenging opponent but did not let that affect her mental game. She stated, “Honestly, it was hard at first, but once I put in all my energy, it helped me persevere not to give up.” Our Number 4 Anaya Edmead and number 5 Brianna Tully sadly both lost, but they will continue to fight for victory. Lastly, our number 2 doubles took home an easy win of 8-1. These girls have had a crazy journey as they play their first year of doubles together, and they continue to impress us every time on the court. The Lady Eagles play their last match of the season this coming Monday against rival Westminster Academy.
