A Christ-centered study abroad experience for students in grades 8–12.
Studying abroad is an exciting opportunity, but it can also feel overwhelming. You want more than just a school. You want a place where international students can thrive academically, grow spiritually, and feel supported every step of the way while they’re away from home.
At Calvary Christian Academy, international students in grades 8–12 can experience a life-changing educational experience rooted in Christian values. From the moment you inquire, we walk alongside families like yours to offer the support, guidance, and care that makes all the difference.
What Makes Us Different?
Academic Excellence – A rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum taught by expert faculty.
Spiritual Growth – One-on-one discipleship and a culture grounded in biblical truth.
Robust Student Life – Extracurricular activities, athletics, fine arts, and leadership opportunities.
Prime Location – Our South Florida campus offers access to vibrant cultural experiences and top destinations.
For many students, living far from home and being immersed in another culture can be a big change. Through our homestay model, international students are placed with carefully selected Christian families who share our mission and values. These aren’t just host homes; they’re homes filled with compassion, structure, and spiritual support.
What Makes Our Homestay Program Different?
Safe & Pre-Approved Homes – Every family is vetted and aligned with CCA’s faith-based mission.
Meaningful Connection – Students become part of the family, not just tenants.
Shared Faith Values – Host families support students emotionally and spiritually.
Cultural Immersion with Support – Students adjust to American life while still having a stable, nurturing foundation.
How It Works:
Placement with a Host Family – Students are matched with a Christian family who fits their needs.
Ongoing Support – Our team regularly checks in to ensure students and families are thriving.
Life-Changing Relationships – Many students and hosts form lifelong bonds and stay in touch well beyond graduation.
CCA is authorized under Federal law to enroll non-immigrant students.
Calvary Christian Academy is a ministry of Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale (CCFL), which was founded in 1985. CCFL is home to more than 16,000 people and offers ten regional campuses in South Florida, the Florida Keys, as well as a Web campus that reaches a vast area across the globe.
The Discipleship Department of CCA exists to encourage students in their relationship with Christ and equip them to follow the Lord’s commission in Matthew 28:19 to “go and make disciples of all nations.” Students have opportunities to experience God through age appropriate and biblically based activities such as chapel and local outreach opportunities, as well as small groups, spiritual retreats, and international mission trips.
CCA teaches students how to purposefully present God’s view of the world, its history, language, math and science. Its rich college preparatory curriculum trains the hearts and minds of students to understand and apply the biblical principles to every area of life.
CCA is located on 75 acres of land with more than eight modern facilities, including a state-of-the-art theatre, which seats over 750 people, two gymnasiums, a skating ramp, three-star restaurant, cafeteria and a four-story building with modern classrooms, two media centers, science labs, and nine fully-equipped PC and MAC computer labs, with the latest technology ready to serve students and staff.
