25 Prayers for 25 Years | Day 8 | Celebrating CCA Teachers, Staff, and Leadership

By: Aaron Mills
This Teacher Appreciation Week, CCA’s Head of Upper Schools, Aaron Mills, continues our 25 Prayers for 25 Years series by celebrating the dedication of our teachers, staff, and leadership and thanking God for the impact they make.

Scriptures:

"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

–1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

"Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it."

–Proverbs 22:6

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."

–Colossians 3:23-24

"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans."

–Proverbs 16:3

Reflection:

Today, we express gratitude and heartfelt thankfulness for the amazing teachers, staff, and leadership who form the foundation of our Calvary Christian Academy community. The impact these dedicated individuals have on our students' lives is invaluable.

The words of 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 remind us that gratitude is not just a response to good times, but a continuous practice that should permeate our daily lives, especially within our school community.

Teachers are truly the heart and soul of CCA. With unwavering dedication, passion, and commitment, they go above and beyond to impart knowledge and help shape the character of our children. Proverbs 22:6 beautifully captures this calling. Today, we thank God for our teachers' tireless efforts to make disciples spiritually, academically, and socially. Their impact is deep and wide.

From administrative personnel to custodial staff, every member of the CCA team plays a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing environment for our students. We are reminded of Colossians 3:23: "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." This dedication to excellence ensures that our schools are a welcoming place where students can thrive, and we are profoundly grateful for their contributions.

We are blessed with a leadership team whose vision, guidance, and prayerful decisions steer our school in alignment with God's purpose (Proverbs 16:3). We value our leaders' commitment to seek God's will for our schools, and we appreciate their wisdom and discernment in guiding us forward.

As we celebrate our teachers this week, let us consider how we can show our appreciation not just today, but throughout the year. How can we support our teachers, encourage our staff, and pray for our leaders? Let us commit to fostering a culture of gratitude that strengthens our entire school community.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for the gift of our school community at Calvary Christian Academy. During this Teacher Appreciation week, we especially lift up our teachers, staff, and leaders. Bless them for their dedication and service.

Help us cultivate a spirit of thankfulness in our hearts and empower us to express our appreciation to one another each day. May our schools continue to be places where Your love and guidance shine brightly through every member of our community. In Jesus' name, Amen.
