25 Prayers for 25 Years | Day 22 | God Has Plans For CCA’s Future

By: Joe Wilson
In today’s devotional, CCA's Head of Lower Schools and Finance Director, Joe Wilson, continues our 25 Prayers for 25 Years series by reminding us of the good plans the Lord has for the CCA community.

Scripture:

“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”

‭‭–Jeremiah 29:11

Reflection:

When we talk about God’s plans, it’s easy to picture something big, bold, and immediate. But often, His plans unfold gradually – layer by layer, step by step.

At CCA, we’ve seen this firsthand over the past 25 years. From classrooms filled with curious minds to Chapels echoing with worship, God’s fingerprints are all over our story.

Pastor Chuck Smith once said, “We wait upon the Lord and allow Him to work, and we move when He moves.” That’s where we are right now – still. Listening. Trusting.

This is not a passive kind of waiting. It’s an active readiness of hearts pointed toward heaven, knowing that when God moves, we want to be ready to go with Him.

As we close this school year, we don’t just celebrate the past – we lean into what’s next. We believe God is stirring something in our community.

We may not see the full picture yet, but we sense it. And that is enough for us to pray boldly, dream faithfully, and stay rooted in Him, looking forward to what God will accomplish in the next 25 years of CCA. Do it again, Lord!

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for the story You’ve written at CCA so far. As we look to the future, help us wait well – full of trust and hope.

Give us the faith to move when You move and the courage to follow wherever You lead. Unite us as a school family to pursue Your purpose, one step at a time. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
