New App Connecting Our Athletic Community
TEAMREACH APP ADDED TO ATHLETIC COMMUNICATIONS
For the 2018-19 school year, the Eagles Athletics Department has placed a renewed emphasis on growing the community aspect that comes with interscholastic athletics. Communication is key to the quality of any relationship. The athletic administrative team spent the better part of last school year researching technology options that would improve the communication between the athletic office, coaches, players and parent. The Teamreach app stood above the rest.
“Calvary Athletics is a large program that spread out across the county as the school day ends,” said Keith Huisman, CCA’s Athletics Director. “With inclement weather and last-minute schedule changes, we wanted something that would quickly and easily keep all athletic stakeholders in the loop.”
When seeking a mobile administrative tool, several key factors weighed in.
- A messaging platform allowing for communication so parents and athletes are seeing the same information.
- A streamlined communication platform across all sports and ages
- Quick-response with low load-times
- Clear and easy access right to the coach/administration.
- Reasonably priced
“Teamreach really checked all the boxes,” said Huisman, “the open messaging platform provides a layer of protection and transparency for our coaches, and peace of mind for our parents. In addition, athletes who play multiple sports (which is highly encouraged) have a familiar communication process no matter which season they are in.”
Parents and students who have an interest in a particular sport can download the app now and get notifications as the season approaches. This way, they won’t miss tryouts, first practices or games. The app is free and has unlimited users.
To join the team, follow the simple steps below:
- Download the teamreach app on your smartphone platform.
- Enter the TEAMREACH CODES for your child’s team of interest.
- For middle school, join the A team code until tryouts
- For high school, join the varsity until tryouts
