CCA Wins Season Opener
Your Calvary Eagles varsity football team opened the season with a 30-18 victory over Miami LaSalle last Friday. Gabe Contento, Skylar Pearcy and Daniel Jones scored touchdowns for the offense while Jonathon Lane returned an interception 40 yards for a defensive score. Kyle Stevens handled all the kicking duties adding a field goal and tacking on three extra points. Sam Williams was the leading tackler with 8 tackles on the night. Sam also added an interception. The Eagles travel to Pine Crest this Friday to take on the Panthers. Game time is 7pm.
