Last Friday night your Calvary Eagle Varsity Football team traveled to Ft. Pierce to take on a ranked John Carroll HS team. Down 10 points early, Calvary scored 20 straight points to take back the lead. After falling behind 24-20, the Eagles again rallied to take the lead 27-24 before a late score gave the Rams the victory. Daniel Jones rushed for 156 yards and 2 TD's. Gabe Contento and Daniel Lawrence also had touchdowns for the offense. Defensive leaders were Kennedy Sauder with 8 tackles, Isaac Brittsan and Emmanuel Joseph with 10 and Jonathan Lane who lead all tacklers with 12. Your Eagles return home Friday to take on the undefeated and #1 ranked team from Region 2 - Miami Christian. Upsetting this highly ranked team could provide enough computer points to vault the Eagles into the FHSAA Playoffs.
