Yesterday our CCA Middle School Volleyball team traveled to face St. Andrew’s Scots. The Eagles came out strong, winning the first set with confident serving and steady play. The Scots battled back to take the second, and despite a great fight in a very close third set, St. Andrew’s pulled out the win.
Even though the scoreboard didn’t go our way, there were many bright spots for the Eagles:
Sarah Melendez scored several service points and did an excellent job running the offense with her setting.
Maddie Dorlus served consistently and kept the Scots on their heels.
Gabbi Bird anchored the back row with strong passing and outstanding defense.
The team continues to grow each match, showing heart and determination. Though our record sits at 0–3, the progress is clear, and yesterday’s performance showed that our first win is on the horizon.
Come cheer on the Eagles tomorrow at 4:00 PM as we host Spanish River Christian at home. Let’s pack the gym and support our girls as they keep fighting and improving!
