25 Prayers for 25 Years | Day 7 | Giving Thanks For All God Has Done

By: Dawn Vitulli
In today’s devotional, CCA Fort Lauderdale’s Elementary Principal, Dawn Vitulli, continues our 25 Prayers for 25 Years series by introducing us to the importance of thanksgiving in response to all the Lord has done.

Scripture:

“In that day you will say: ‘Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what He has done, and proclaim that His name is exalted. Sing to the Lord, for He has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world.’”

–Isaiah 12:4-5

Reflection:

In Isaiah 12:4-5, we are reminded of the importance of giving thanks to the Lord and proclaiming His greatness to the world. Giving thanks is more than a simple gesture – it’s a posture of the heart that acknowledges God’s presence, power, and faithfulness in our lives.

As we call on His name and lift up songs of praise, we are invited to reflect on His glorious works and share them with others. Gratitude shifts our focus from the temporary challenges we face to the eternal goodness of God, and it draws us into a deeper relationship with Him and one another.

At Calvary Christian Academy, we have so much to be thankful for over the past 25 years. God has been faithful in every season, and His blessings are evident throughout our school and campuses. We’ve seen growth not just in numbers, but in the spiritual lives of our students and staff.

We are thankful for the resources that allow us to offer excellent education and Christ-centered programs. Our staff and families are passionate about following the Lord, and their commitment creates a rich and nurturing environment for everyone. We rejoice in the privilege of openly sharing the gospel within our classrooms and chapels, planting seeds of faith that will last a lifetime.

The community God has built at CCA is truly special. It’s a place where students, families, teachers, and leaders come together with one heart – to glorify the Lord. We see the fruit of His work in every aspect of our school life, from the relationships that form to the spiritual growth that takes place daily.

As we continue to grow, our mission remains the same: to exalt the name of the Lord and make His deeds known. For all these things and so much more, we give thanks.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with hearts full of gratitude, reflecting on the words of Isaiah 12:4-5. You have called us to give thanks, to proclaim Your name, and to make known Your marvelous deeds.

Father, we are so thankful for all that You have done and continue to do at Calvary Christian Academy. You have blessed our school in many ways – spiritually, academically, and socially.

Thank you for the growth we’ve seen across our campuses and in the hearts of our students and staff. Thank You for the resources You’ve provided; thank You for a faculty and community that deeply loves and follows You.

We praise You for the freedom to share the gospel openly, to speak the name of Jesus, and to cultivate an environment where faith and learning go hand in hand.

Lord, we give You all the glory for the community You have built here. Let everything we do reflect Your glory, and may our hearts always be turned toward You in thanksgiving.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
