25 Prayers for 25 Years | Day 10 | Thankful for the Expansion of Our Campuses

In today’s devotional, CCA Hollywood’s Upper School Principal, Chris Mitchell, continues our 25 Prayers for 25 Years series by thanking God for the addition of our campuses.  

Scripture:

“When he saw them, he said, ‘Go, show yourselves to the priests.’ And as they went, they were cleansed. One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him — and he was a Samaritan. Then he said to him, ‘Rise and go; your faith has made you well.’”
 
–Luke 17:14-16,19 
 

Reflection:

As we continue to praise God for His faithfulness to CCA over the past 25 years, we can say “thank you” to Jesus in a manner similar to the man in Luke 17. 

A group of 10 men were miraculously healed from leprosy, even before they completed the directions Jesus provided.

After this miraculous account, one of them, filled with gratitude, came back and threw himself at Jesus’ feet, thanking Him and filled with faith. Gratitude in this story is linked to faith. 

If we’re honest, gratitude is not something that comes easily to many of us. God has been at work in our lives individually and corporately, but we sometimes miss His provision and blessings because we’re looking inward versus outward. 

Despite being faced with the possibility of a school closure, God allowed for CCA’s Hollywood campus to grow into a thriving school where children are discipled to love and follow Jesus. 
 
God then expanded on that miracle by allowing our leaders to open CCA North Miami and CCA Boynton Beach – places where more children can learn about the love of Jesus. Those are certainly miracles worth thanking Him for!

May our gratitude for what He’s done across our campuses ignite our faith and remind us that He still has more miracles in store for us and our school as we pursue His mission to make disciples.

Prayer:

Jesus, we honor You for Your goodness, grace, and mercy extended to us. We are grateful for 25 years of service and for making disciples for the Kingdom. 

We pray that Your Kingdom extends and reaches those whose hearts are open to joining You and being Your disciple. In Jesus' name, Amen!
